Liverpool is still fighting to secure the top 4 spot and why not even the Premier League crown. But to achieve their goals they have to remain focused and not allow any upset against their opponent this week – Swansea. The Merseyside team form at home is tremendous – they have lost only once at home and have scored at least 3 goals in 8 of their last 10 home matches in the Premier League. The visitors from Wales on the other hand have failed to win their last 7 away matches in the Premier League. The last meeting between those two teams left bitter-sweet taste in the mouths of their fans and especially in the current Swansea and former Liverpool midfielder – Jonjo Shelvey. He scored one and assisted for the second goal for Swansea but also made some crucial mistakes which led to Daniel Sturridge equalizer. Sturridge, who scored on Liverpool’s visit to Swansea, will become only the second player – after Ruud van Nistelrooy – to score in eight consecutive Premier League matches if he can find the back of the net this weekend.
Glen Johnson is back training but is doubtful to start the game. Injured for Liverpool are also Lucas Leiva, Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique. Pablo Hernandez and Nathan Dyer both came off during that match, and Swansea will hope to have both fit for Sunday.
