Dortmund lead 4-2 from the first leg and are favourites to secure their place in the the quarter-finals of the competition. The Bundesliga side fell to a disappointing defeat at the weekend, so will be keen to bounce back from the loss to Gladbach. Sergei Semak was handed control of first-team affairs at Zenit last week following the departure of Luciano Spalletti and will oversee his first UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday at Signal Iduna Park. Things could be much worse for Zenit, given that Dortmund moved two goals ahead inside six minutes in the first leg of their last-16 tie, which took place in Russia last month. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side will have to suffer an unlikely collapse on home turf if Zenit are to progress. Zenit haven’t won since the winter break in Russia came to an end and the weekend defeat to CSKA further dented their title charge.
Dortmund have a lengthy injury list to contend with ahead of the welcome of Zenit, with Neven Subotic, Ilkay Gundogan, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Sven Bender and Jannik Bandowksi sidelined.
Cristian Ansaldi, Andrey Arshavin and Ego Baburin are all doubts for the trip to Germany.

Possible lineups

Borussia Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Schmelzer, Sokratis, Hummels, Ducksch, Kehl, Sahin, Reus, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Lewandowski

Zenit: Lodygin, Anyukov, Hubocan, Lombaerts, Smolnikov, Fayzulin, Witsel, Danny, Shatov, Hulk, Rondon
