Dortmund will face in-form Nurnberg at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday keen to maintain a top-three place in the Bundesliga. After the surprising defeat with 3-0 against Hamburg last Saturday, Dortmund missed the opportunity to move into second place in the table. Jurgen Klopp will at least be pleased with the way his team responded to the defeat against Hamburg. Dortmund put that behind with a great 2-4 win over Zenit in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Nurnberg are on impressive run. They head to North Westphalia with four wins in their last five matches, form that helped the team to climb away from the relegation zone and put four points gap between themselves and Hamburg in 16th. Verbeek’s men are one of the best visitors in the Bundesliga. They have not lost away from home since November and have only been defeated three times on their travels in the league this season – at defending champions Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach. Signal Iduna Park is not the fortress it has been in previous campaigns as Klopp’s side lost three league games in succession at the end of 2013. However, you have to go back to November 1990 to find the last time that Nuremberg won at Dortmund.
Gertjan Verbeek will be without midfielder Makoto Hasebe due to a knee problem, but he does have Josip Drmic available, with the Swiss striker having scored six in his last seven appearances. Mats Hummels is back in contention for Dortmund following his knee injury.

Possible lineups

Borussia Dortmund: Weidenfeller, Schmelzer, Sokratis, Friedrich, Piszczek, Sahin, Kehl, Grosskreutz, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Lewandowski

Nurnberg: Schafer, Angha, Petrak, Pinola, Plattenhardt, Frantz, Mak, Feulner, Kiyotake, Hlousek, Drmic
