An FA Cup victory in 2005 remains the last time that Arsenal lifted a major trophy. And given their last results in the Premier League and Champions league, the same competition provides the Gunners with their best chance for glory and to finally end their silverware drought this season. But that goes through win against Everton. The Blues from Merseyside have not won at Arsenal in their last 19 visits in all competitions, but they have managed draws in the last two trips. The hosts’ record at this stage of the competition is almost perfect, with Arsenal having won 10 of their 11 FA Cup last-eight ties, the only defeat coming at the last attempt in 2011, when Manchester United won 2-0. The Gunners will be looking for a response to last Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Stoke City and Martinez is wary of the threat the hosts will pose.
Jack Wilshere has been rulled out for six weeks after the midfielder sustained hairline fracture in his left foot in England’s win over Denmark. Aaron Ramsey and January signing Kim Kallstrom are nearing returns, neither are expected to be fit to take Wilshere’s midfield place against the Toffees.
For Everton, young defender John Stones will again stand in for captain Phil Jagielka, whose hamstring strain will keep him out until next weekend. Lacina Traore, Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson are also sidelined.

Possible lineups:

Arsenal: Fabianski, Gibbs, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Sagna, Flamini, Arteta, Cazorla, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanogo

Everton: Howard, Coleman, Stones, Distin, Baines, McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Osman, Pienaar, Lukaku
